i would suggest doing it otherwise, small ships fit chitinous, so you dont get instant-killed, and bigger fit double AHR, because you will get hulled regardless, and can rep faster this way.

Dual chitin ships certainly live a bit longer when jumped by an Heavyhitter but not by a large margin.
Its more that whole "cloack and hide and jump if youre realy cautious and "quickly" repair with dual ahr to rejoin the fray faster. keeping up a constant attack is much more important for kluth that it is for the rest of us.
Its a pain to see them lobsters jump away and be back with restored hull soon after. Fast recuperation wins over pure buffer if you can keep mobile. Always has been like that.
Allthough i have to admit that icc has become a bigger annoyance with that style of combat ever since their shields got de-nerfed.

It sure seems that way. I tried it and honesly died so quickly i didnt even know what killed me. I promptly put my 2ahr back on. chitinous armor is quite frankly the most worthless thing in the game. it it was a little bit stronger than organic armor to make up for not having the ahr it would be useful.

where is that picture..
V the best defense and the ultimate prank...
Anyhow i'd have to say i tried 2 AHR and 1 AHR + chit. and i'd have to say
with 2 AHR i can stay uncloaked a little longer when there shooting at my hull.
But when equipping 1 chit i have almost no feeling that i have a extra protection layer.
One thing i have to say once your cloaked your hull repairs darn fast with 2AHR, and with 2 ARH you can stay around the battlefield longer while sustaining hull damage since you have more AHR ammo.
