At the moment you need his password (if you do it via this route, remember to hit "Unsubscribe" afterwards, so it doesn't re-occure. Same goes for Paypal!).

Hope this helps.

If you manage to find an admin to talk to, they might be kind enough to just transfer 30 days of your time played onto his if you sub for a month.

Except we won't due to legal issues.

Yes, we have no way of confirming the person on the account making the request is in fact the account holder or someone whom just got access to your account.

And if we did transfer play time like that a heard of stampeding Pygmy goats would trample us to death.

So, what about a way to purchace playtime coupons that are givin right after the card is charged... the person can give the coupon away or use it later

Coupons could work. But considering all, it might be troublesome for ds to hold a db for all those coupons, especially if some of the coupons never gets used.
(Of course "Coupon is only valid for 6/12 months" could be presented.)
But besides all the legal issues, there is the possibility that this might bring forth more administrative work to the Palestar staff. It just may not be a good option.

Having the option to Subscribe @ID might work but same as coupon has problems. For one, mistyping ID would be the biggest failure. might be other pro and cons about it. Personally i would go for coupons, before thinking about this way.

But i do want to add something.
We currently have the 14 day free trail. but problem is people first have to come to darkspace..
I myself usually do side-promotions of darkspace in the weirdest kinds, and it would be nice to just have something to give people physically. Especially if it is combined with something like a 7/14/21/30 day coupon. (even if I have to pay a little for it)
People will have something extra and might be tempted to try the game out.
Instead of just noticing my DarkSpace.Net written on a whiteboard.

I regularly post about free 2-week DS events on forums I visit on the web.

If I even have sent 5 or 10 people this way, it makes a difference. I don't need coupons to offer this to them, but it'd be great if there was an "affiliate" program that would credit you 2-weeks free play time for every new member you got subscribed... it might encourage more people to advertise DS in their online communities.

For every new user that you can get to subscribe, you can gain 30 days of free play time.

All you need to get them to do is to put your username (without fleet tags), or playerID into the referral field during the subscription process.

In your case DJ, username would be dj42 {C?}, and playerID would be 31030.

affiliate links would help, cos people don't remember to add you as a referral... which sucks.
