Well pple who play now days i would say, Stealth, Bash, Nim, LAG, Commanderhawk, Mrsparkles, Chubba 
There is a few more but they are the ones who pop into my mind...

I'm gonna give it to nim because he is crazy. He'll jump into battle by HIMSELF, kill a guy, and barely get away a fair amount of the time considering the odds, all before half of us even get spun around to jump in.

I am nominating myself based on the fact I want to give Jack a run for his money on largest ego.
If I had to go with the best I have played with. Nim, Jack, Crim, ENT, Azreal, Red Dragon. Those were the first that came to my mind.

This is an impossible question to have the right answer for due to so many variables.
Many have been great but have succumbed to exploits in the game - and they have been listed above.
But only one stands out to me as fair and honest and due.
He stood by K'luth in it's darkest times (Many honourable mentions should be in here but if I name one I have to name them all and I cannot bare to miss one) when K'Luth's so called best left for the other factions or just plain quit. He brought together a fleet of the finest remaining K'luth pilots and even drew great pilots from other factions to his side.
Though merely just one of the greatest and courageous Combat Pilots I have had the pleasure to fly with - he is also one of the greatest leaders - and a good mate.
He has played recently enough to be mentioned - and if he comes back you will all fear :
