I suggest another color be used for player distresses... so that a distress from a player is more noticable in the heat of battle.. Distresses are supposed to stand out and currently, due to AI and planets sending constant distresses, they are hardly noticable.... perhaps make player distresses orange and others be yellow, for example...

Great idea.

Or possibly do away with AI distress calls. How likely is it that a player would respond to them anyway?

AI sending distresses is a good thing, other AI respond to them and if only players sent distresses AI would only respond to players making an unfair factor.. but if they were hidden that's another story..

Fair 'nuff. Hidden is good. It's the spamming one wants to minimize.

I don't mind the AI distress, it tells me whats happening where. The planet gets a little annoying, but w/e.

I vote yes for Player Distress calls being a different colour then the AI's.

it's taking the format colour of player distress colours and making it different from ai. Since ai's are compurer controlled it would be more simple. Many games already are implemented like that.
