I think the fleet ranking table is unfair because we have the Palestar fleet in 4th but we all know Mav and most of there other fleet mates didnt rank up like we all did, it was automatic for them, we have MI in 5th if i remember correctly but they arnt even a playable faction, i think the fleet ranking system should show ranking for non corparate players, people that pay to play and have nothing to do with DS on a business "staff, MI" side of it.. rant over!

I sense sarcasm in Dorans post, unless, of course, Doran's judgement is skewed, for it isn't a very smart post, who is Borgie even talking to? How does it relate to this topic?
As much as I don't want to, I agree with Nemesis, Why should staff accounts(or fleets) tower over the rest? Relating to Borg's post the admins and npcs don't even pay! how is that relevant?

I myself believe it completely, I actually think it is closer to 100 active players. I know this because I play, and during the daytime (10AM-10PM PST) I see many players on. It gets quite active, I don't understand this whole in-active thing everyone is on, because I know it is quite the contrary.
I would confidently say that there are more active players now, than in 483.
Though you may not be able to look at the server numbers to show 30/500 I know that it gets roughly around that every single day IMHO we could use more, but it is not as bad as most people seem to think.

Ahum, thats one of the good things about removing the 5/500 server stats, people don't join because they say "There only 5 people in there" it could be between 0 and 15, no way to tell other than asking a admin.
(And pray for a accurate reply).
But i agree, there are more players these day than in 1.483

I partially agree, having non participating fleets in there just confuses the senses, i could write a whole wad of text to give my views about it but that would just create more confusion to the topic.
What actually would solve the problem would be to find a way to exclude those fleets from the ranking, just like how the staff and event accounts are excluded from the Player ranking list.
I would say, might be interesting to just filter by flags, Admin & event accounts. If not done already.
On a second note, could it be made possible that event and Admin accounts just show up as cadet @ 0 prestige but still remain there prestige count In game.
This would be another way to solve the filtering so you would not get that
"Query Failed: SELECT rank,value from user_rankings WHERE game_id=1 AND user_id=76614 AND field_id=0"

I highly doubt there are even 60 people playing, seeing how it's the highest 'Online' count I've seen in a few days, 88, and 40 of them are in the lobby.

@Crim most days during peak times between roughly 12pm and 6pm my time (PST) I see the online count get about to 120+
