from my experience landing a WH too close to a planet = big boom anyways, so why youd target a planet i cannot fathom =P it is also from my experience randomly generated in a region around wherever you clicked so as to limit its use as a potential weapon. unless you mean your side of the WH is spawning wacky?

wh never has opened into a target planet they have always been within 2500 gu of any target and i have not had a fail from this type of wh in a long time
now i am using the ctrl target and it works fine but i havent tried to target a planet until i hear the its fixed... meaning wh works when targeting a planet
