Purpose of internet:
To provide a platform for all peoples to revel in the world-wide sharing of information, opinions, ideas and culture to the point where it becomes so dis-organised and saturated with inanity that it will inspire the internet V2

These are the backbone of the internet. The great and powerful things the world was truly lacking before the internet.
Google Earth: A continuous map of the entire terrain of our planet, down to the roads and buildings. People feel less separated from each other and more connected with the world when they can see their true place in it.
Wikipedia: Worldwide freedom of information. A compendium of human knowledge at everyone's fingertips.
YouTube: True freedom of speech and expression. The ability of the individual to give their perspective and opinion rather than a local diplomat or representative.
