Servers, bandwidth, co-location, etc all cost quite a bit of money (especially bandwidth and co-location). It's an unfortunate thing, but high quality does cost, and as such DarkSpace is required to cover is operating costs via the use of subscription fee's.

Get a Guardian, an adult who is responsible for your wellbeing to make an account on paypal then just make a payment from paypal to darkspace, it could'nt be any easier.

Yes i have read all 3 pages of replies, consider this also every great game or super graphical game that now comes out is most likely gonna be MMO or pay to play, reason for this is very simple its a way to make large sums of money ... my point startrek online and stargate worlds once they come out they too will be money makers.
As for right now World of Warcraft and i guess Eve-online are amongst the high money earners, so when a game is good its pay to play.

Every so often roughly 3 - 6 months Faustus who is the developer of this game will release a new version, if its a big enough release it is often made free to play for two weeks. A good way for Cadets (lobby campers, though I will be joining them soon as i unsubbed my two accounts.) to take a peek at the new release and generally have fun.
This is probably the only way you may enjoy the game unless you can find a way to get subbed.

There are no plans that I am aware of to make Darkspace a free service. As mentioned by Backslash it does cost money to maintain the service for all to use. Unfortunately you are somewhat restricted on your access to the game unless you subscribe to the game. Subscriptions are entirely up to the player to obtain if they wish to play the non-free version and staff at Palestar are unable to assist you in obtaining a free account of any sort, unless part of a promotional session for the entire player base. There is nothing stopping you from playing the game as a demo player, with the associated restrictions.
I hope that you are able to resolve your unfortunate situation and do hope that you have enjoyed the game thus far.

Meh i have your problem i would play this alot if it was free but i like to have a look around now and then.
My parents dont know i play this game.. ive not told them yet but if i did they would probly take a while of askin untill they'd givin to my cute puppy dog eyes. im close 2 ur age and if i could id pay myself which im gunna do. after i get my job <--- cant wait  but im going to hav 2 mak a new bank account after i do. maby you should wait till ur older and do that. thats what i am doing.

Along with many others, I earned money as young as about 8yo doing odd jobs around the neighborhood. Its not hard to find work if you actually look. And you can't use the "no bank account" excuse with prepaid visas anymore.
If you want something that costs money, you have to work for it. Just because you don't think its worth a price doesn't mean its not worth it..
I never got anything free, I always worked for it... So should anyone that is physically capable.
