Can't read anything! Not sure what's up. I'm using a GeForce FX 5200. Not a great card but it runs the graphics fine, just messes up text.
Tried disabling alpha font, that didn't work.
Thanks.

Hey thanks for the links, I checked them out.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a fix, I'm using an Nvidia card. I have a Nvidia control panel but cannot find options for 'Pixel-Center'.
Thanks.

It's caused usually by forcing AA or AF on cards that can't do the computing properly. If you've forced AA or AF (or any other options) disable them.

so... can we be a little bit more clear? :
should i turn ON or should i turn OFF the function called AF (Anisotropic Filtering Optimisation... if i wont write this, everyone will continue to talk about FSAA / HRAA, AF, AA... well, i know that e v e r y o n e is a hardware specialist here and even me... but please, translate a little for those rare people who knows a little less about hardware.
please.)
so.. where was i? should we turn ON or OFF:
AF (anisotropic filtering?)
AA (anti-aliasing? i can put it on "application controlled" or 2x 4x etc.. so..?)
FSAA (???)
HRAA (?????????????????????????)
i've changed all i could, tried various combinations of on/off on my radeon 5850 (not so old stuff i belive).. and still cant read text in game.
i've downloaded latest drivers, i've downloaded ati tray tools (i have windows 7)
and s t i l l nothing...
so.. it is possible or not?
excuse me for my style, but it is really.... not easy. sorry.
upd: and yes, i forgot: should i turn ON alternate pixel centers? it is on. still nothing =/ [ This Message was edited by: Drakh on 2010-08-22 17:22 ]

The 5850 is a relatively new card. Its age isnt the problem.
As a general rule, you should turn anti aliasing (AA) and ansiotropic filtering (AF) to application controlled.
Forcing it can cause problems with some programs.

For what it's worth I have a 5870, with forced AF and AA, with no pixel-center and it works perfectly. Are your drivers up to date?

You've got FSAA forced on or something like that... make sure you video driver options are all set to "Let the application decide"...

I get this problem once in a while. Usually relaunching the game fixes it, and other times it's because I have my mipmap settings too low (I have no alternate pixel center setting).
I still can't pinpoint why I occasionally get it even with correct settings or why it fixes itself when I relaunch.

Ah yes. Make sure your MIPMAP is set to Quality and not Performance in your GPU driver settings.

im not a good guy at this but that pixelled letter thing can be small fonts for a big resolution i think.
