Exactly what changes were made? There is nothing apparent in the source code, so if you can inform me of the changes you are talking about I will look into them as it may be evidence of a bug with the code.

It is true that we do not always update the Development Log with regards to changes. If we added every single minor change or adjustment that we made for each release, you would end up wading through a few pages of notes, most of which make zero sense to the player. Or inane stuff like "Corrected black value on contact icon"... Do you really need to know this?

I don't think he wants or even needs to see the inane notes.

I think what he means is direct play impact changes. Changed x Armor value from 1.56*dps to 1.51*dps(numbers meaningless, example only btw). Etc.

Values for DPS calculations, Energy requirements on weapons, cloaking numbers, etc. I don't see anything wrong with displaying all of these in the Change-log. By all means leave out all the UI tweaks(except major changes) and anything that makes no difference to the players.

But I do believe a concise but summarized list of the changes made to a patch should be in the change-log. No need for long explanations as to what each tweak does. Just a simple summary.

Be nice if players received an email regarding updates to include:

when the update was made
what revision it is called
a brief summary of changes made
and inclusive of registered accounts...

...etc.

Just my 2 cents.

Dev log?

In regards to Defiance/Ken : We do that already.
