bombed a planet in my command dread the other day. 75% of the missle damage hit the fore. guess where the other 25% hit? the aft lol.
so does this mean the arc bug isnt completely fixed? or is to blame on my dread flying 22.2gu/s and that being a high enough speed to "break" the fix. or maybe on my horrible lag and 1000 latency at the time (im sure u have all seen me jumping around like some super rabbit on steroids). or maybe a combonation of both. ill have to give it a try another time
but even if its not 100% fixed it is ALOT better then it was, so thanks alot Faustus!

as a icc player i can't see this as a nerf for us as you put since we too suffer from missle attacks from planets and ugto stations.

tur but ICC could usually cover the Rear with shields before now they can get hit from all side

We will let faustus know, and ask if he only applied his fix to missiles or the whole system.
As to Deleting this topic, why?
Its a player started topic, staff might lock it or move it, there is no reason for its deletion.

So first off, there is no difference in terms of torpedo's versus missiles when it comes to the collision detection system.
The bug that was fixed had to do with an incorrect calculation of the intersection point between two colliding objects, and that bug is now FIXED for certain.
You didn't mention if the torpedo's were from a planet or ship?
If from another ship - it's still possible to see on your client the torpedo's hitting your front, but on the server something different may be happening due to you having a issue with lag... on the server, the other ship may be behind you and hitting you from a different location than what your seeing on your client.
If it's from a planet -- then something different may be going on.
Lastly, it's pretty immature to demand that this topic be deleted.

were u stationary when the torps were hitting u? it seems that sometimes when ur not moving the server doesn't register if your turning your ship or not so the weapons keeps hitting on the same damaged arc even tho u may see them hitting a different ~100% arc.
if u see ur hull going down even tho u see a green arc getting hit then fly forward a couple gu and it should fix that.
or if ur sitting around a planet minding ur own business (eating a tub of chocolate ice cream), and some luth decides to go uncloak behind u, so u spinn around and start shooting back at him, but notice that u r doing little or no damage to him (as if u had not turned around at all and were still using ur aft wepons (if u have any to begin with)), then try moving forward even the slightest bit.
NOTE: the same thing seems to happen with things like mining beams. u will see ur self facing the planet mining away in ur lil' extractor with ~4 mining beams, but u r actually facing away from the planet using what ever aft mining beams u may have (~1), and other players will see that ur facing away.
