A Tournament is being arranged by your DarkSpace community, it is planned to be a 16 bracket team tournament with each team consisting of 3 pilots, each team will fight their way to the top of the tournament bracket for a chance at the top prize of X Credits. (Final Prizes are TBA)
This is a community driven event, however the DarkSpace staff have generously donated 5000 Credits to the victory pot, which will be split into prizes for the winning team(s)
You may donate your credits to the pot as-well, to do so, post a commitment here and transfer the credits to me using the in-game function. I will add your credits to the pot and split them amongst the prizes.
An official sign-up thread will be started soon, in this phase, we would like all participants to wait, and any contributors to the event to step forward now, to offer your help with Credits or with managing the event. You can post here or you may send me a PM.
Current Pot: 125500 Credits.

There is no set date yet, however I want to get it going within 30 days.
My goal for now is to get some donations to get the ball rolling, the higher the prizes the better.
To start things off the staff donated 5000 credits, I will give 5000 of my own credits as well.
a dozen people donate 5000 credits and we will have a pretty nice prize pot going.

ATTN: Ive looked at my schedule, and I have the weekend of the 17th of July free, Due to the 16 bracket tournament style the plan is to have the first 8 on the Saturday, and the next 8 on the Sunday. Saturday's Victor will fight with the winner on Sunday for the final battle.

Bracket A:
Saturday, July 17th, 2010
Bracket B & Final Battle:
Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Which timezone are the dates?
What rules do apply?
Can i get some Creds for free? please
In which System will it happen?
Will there be Ship restrictions (like stock loadout)?
Will there be Ability restirctions? (like ICC not allowed to use Wave, or Luth not allowed to cloak)?
Can i get free Credits?

Something I just thought of.....why not hold it on beta? That way there could be UGTO vs UGTO, ICC vs ICC, and Kluth vs Kluth matches for more fun. Only issue I could see would be with PD but I can see ammo issues preventing most from using a missile ship or carrier.

Actually, I can see about getting a fleet wars server opened up in release, let me pull some strings and see what I can do, because it always comes up where factions are against themselves in these things.
