I am loving darkspace but waiting for them to come out with the last updates (jsut want to play once all the updates are done for the ships) so in the mean time picked up sto and was wondering if anyone here plays it cause could use some help on there.

Darkspace is never done updating. It's an ongoing evolving game - there will always be more changes, tweaks, modifications, whatever on the horizon. Could be waiting a long time to play if you do that

Did beta, but it felt like so many MMO's out there a mindless and meaningless grind for Experience. No land/space to capture and control and fight over. Just an other mmo that isn't worth my time.

I actually came to Darkspace oh-so-many years ago from a game called Starfleet Command. Always loved the capital ship themed combat.
Tried EVE, didn't like it.
I own SINS and like it.
I'd be tempted to try STO but I remember reading how the additional races like Klingon were barely implemented and fairly incomplete. At least, that's what I'd read...not sure I'd bother playing.
There's a reason I've been playing here since 2002...I like Darkspace.

STO was a good game, but very short. Did the entire storyline in 6 days and reached the highest rank at the same time. Game has room to grow, and I dearly hope it gets more content in fast so as to keep the interest for players. I haven't been back to the game for a while but I have been reading about the new stuff and such getting added.
As for the Klingon's, there really isn't any "storyline" for them when you play them. There mostly there for PvP only and there ships are very powerful (cloak). There are counters to them but you basically gotta have 2 sets of Bridge officers for it. One set for normal PvE and the other for PvP, as there are certain ability's that can decloak them.

agreed. played beta,first month. sto got boring real fast. same missions over and over again.
