The executer looks like it would fit the role of the command dread beter, and the harbinger looks like the battle dread. Sweet models.

I probably don't say this enough, but thanks to everyone for taking the time to comment/view the thread! It really is appreciated.
The feedback has been positive to an unexpected degree.. Sometimes I worry that I'm overusing that one orange texture, but it seemed useful for bringing out the lines of the ship.

I gave making an 'assault' version of the ship a try, and put the results on the first post update.

The model (.blend... ) files in their current state of progress can be downloaded here if anyone wants to add to them:

I'm a little reluctant to post these though, because they're, admittedly, rather sloppy. So far, my only concern has been how the textured models look.

those ships realy are amazing

as a lifetime ICC pilot that dread realy gave me the chills.
its realy smooth and yet hasnt lost its rough feel

Wonder how good you are on stations each faction only has one model

Are you kidding? Your models abso-frickin'--lutely ROCKS!!
I've always believed that the UGTO ST-101/111 series dreadnought design couldn't be topped. You've just proven me wrong, baby.

You have an excellent design concept going. Keep it up!



BTW, can you share your method of texturing? I'm having a complete hell of a time texturing my models right now because of the complex polygons. It's turning my textures at multiple angles creating a veritable nightmare for me!! LOL

Interesting take on the ICC DN, it's more agressive looking than what we have and the smaller arch makes it look less like an ornament. Those UGTO DN models keep the general UGTO look, but are more streamlined and less bulky, especially vertically.

I especially like how the scout model looks.....I don't suppose you could be persuaded to do a version of the ICC scout?

It's definitely beefier looking than the current model and looks more like a battle station.

Although, just something I noticed.....it kinda looks kinda like a really short bar stool from the side. No really, take a close look, it's got the little legs at the bottom, the pole connecting it in the middle, and the wide flat seat ontop.
