I just rotate the map with left-click. It's a lot easier. Just adapt.

Rotating the map with left click means you may inadvertently select a new target, which can also cause problems.
Adapting to a change to game play is one thing, changing the game's controls just seems a bit more unnecessary. (And perhaps not a well thought out change in my opinion)

yes please at least make it an optional change, it is doing more harm than good.

Just hold the mouse button for two seconds. It's not that big a deal.
Sure, I'm not too keen on the change either, but we've been yelling before it was even implemented that we're not keen on it, and it was ignored. I doubt it'll be listened to right now, so the easiest thing is to just learn and adapt.
Note that I'm not trying to bring anyone down, but I simply believe the staff believes this change to be for the better, and that it will be easier to make new players adapt to the game and decrease the learning curve. It isn't too hard to change the way I control the game, so I don't think it's a massive huge problem.
Unless there's feedback involving changes TO the system, I don't think you'll find much success just going "change back plz it is annoying!", because that sort of feedback just isn't useful at all. You need arguments and suggestions for improvements, because demanding any change to be reverted is just opposing progression.
If you accidentally click with right- or left-click rotation, then the issue seems to be that the timer of 0.5 seconds is too long, and should be reduced to shorter - it seems to me that you'd be happy if the auto-clicking when rotating would stop, correct? So if that value is adjusted it should fix this "issue". [ This Message was edited by: Bardiche on 2010-07-18 11:27 ]

Not sure why after 8-10 years some genius decided these buttons needed to be reversed, but I agree it would be great if this was undone.

I also agree. It was never needed in the first place, and after all this time I just can't get used to it. It also causes more problems than it solves.
It wasn't exactly a difficult interface to learn so why was it changed?

In the next release, if you run setup you will find an option to disable the right click actions...
This will NOT affect right click orders in the navigation screen however..
