This is about the 3rd time they have redone the descriptions, and every time have failed epically.

Really they should say this.

Weapon/Beam Multiplexer:
Increase Projectile/Beam Damage by X%

Weapon/Beam Cooler:
Decrease Projectile/Beam Recharge Rate by X%

Weapon/Beam Condenser:
Decrease Projectile/Beam Energy Cost by X%

Defense Power:
Increase Armor/Shield Regen rate by X%

Defense Upgrade:
Increase Armor/Shield HP by X%

Those seem to be the ones that confuse people the most, and have had the worst descriptions. Fixing them to those should clear up the confusion.

I do want to add that part of the confusion is the fact that energy usage and cool-down rates are interlocked like F and Eledore said, which I thought were independent of each other the way damage is independent of energy usage or cool-down.

So currently the ingame descriptions are 100% accurate, it's just that they don't tell us that they both increase fire rate equally, but in different ways, different enough that there's no reason to ever use a weapon cooler over a weapon condenser (again, I don't know beam cooler and condenser descriptions). So if you want decreased energy usage, use a condenser. If you want increased rate of fire, use a condenser. Why use a cooler?

so condeners make weps fire faster with more energy cost?
and coolers fire even faster for more energy cost?

because if fire rate is the same and condensers use less energy then condenser are better

No weapon condensers make weapons fire faster with less energy cost. The increased fire rate comes from reduced energy usage decreasing cooldown time.

Weapon coolers increase fire rate directly, but you don't get decreased energy usage it seems. There's no reason to use them, although decreasing cooldown time should also decrease energy usage right? They're interlocked, and decreasing energy usage also decreases cooldown time, so it should work the other way too. Coolers should be decreasing energy usage the same way condensers are decreasing cooldown time. If that's not the case, then energy usage and cooldown aren't truly interlocked, right?
