Im on the reccomended beginner server, and i was wondering how to gain prestige. I have found nobody else human on it, and have had no luck finding any pirates.

Scenario and/or the Metaverse contain many more players, and would probably be a better place to progress to after you have got the general gist of how the interface works.

Gaining prestige is as easy as shooting an enemy player/ship, building, repairing/supplying a friendly player/ship, or bombing and capturing enemy planets! All of which can be checked up on in the manual (see the left hand side menu).

Why don't you try the scenario server? There are usually a couple people there and the high-rank ship count is lower. There's plenty of building to be done..
