Obviously, even in a game like WOW, you don't see all players from the entire world... they only send objects that are in your local area and updates for players in your current group. We are doing a lot more than WOW, but we can't go wild and send down everything to the client the lag would just get worse.
There are reasons why the game is implemented the way it is...

Back in v1.483, we were able to see the entire MV and all ships that were visible to my faction in all systems while we were in the ship selection screen. That was a larger MV (or at least roughly equally sized), with more players connected, on old (slower than modern) internet connections, on old (slower than today's) servers. How is it possible that we cant see what is going on today to the same level that we could back then?

yeah i didnt know what was going on either but i think its cool they did this
