read it again its different and this thread is continuing cus the error still is happening, if you cant figure out a fix for it thats fine. however other users are having the same issue and when they advise that installing DX9c helps resolve the problem then i will try reinstalling it
else there is another issue. the game doesnt syncronize like it used to do when coming out of game.
GCQL opens and exits fine. the game itself crashes.
wouldnt you like to know why its crashing? you are a dev right?

This tells us it has to do with DirectX, other than that, most of us couldn't pinpoint the problem off the bat. F is probably the only one qualified to give you a detailed explanation/ fix it.

This happens to me too.

It is not a 'serious' issue as it does not cause a users machine to lock up or tie up additonal processing resources. It is essentially Windows telling you that the program using certain DX resources is no longer responding, and asking if it is safe for Windows to terminate that process given that it can no longer detect any activity.

The bug is listed in Mantis, although we have not yet worked out why some systems are unaffected, given that they do have DX9.0c installed.

Perhaps you should read it again... It's the same error, just happened in a different memory block.

It's a VERY, VERY minor Direct3D crash, and there's much, much more important stuff to be done. I honestly don't care if it gets fixed or not, since all it's doing is most likely not exiting properly on DWM systems due to the way DX9 is emulated/ran on it.

It causes no harm and is of minor annoyance, hence, bottom of the shelf.
