When i try to change the drives on my ship as kluth it doesnt work and i dont understand why i tryed with my drives off and on and still doesnt work maybe its working but the name of the drives not changing idk can anyone help me?

are you next to a planet that has the right Tech count and Resource type?
Cant be under blockade either

I can confirm.. This is a strange problem that has been around for quite a while, so long, in-fact, I believe it can be traced all the way back to the release of 1.500. Oddly, the problem is specific to certain circumstances. It seems to work in the KLuth home server of Andromeda, however will not work in Sagittarius.
I have believed it to be a desync problem which will likely be fully fixed next update.

i can confirm 2 i was playing ltuh one day and i turn off my drives ro change them it takes the res but doesnt replace the drive

ive noiticed this effect but while building planets in scen, it would take res but wont build, but this happens on occasions though

Thats a desync error when the res get "taken" but nothing happens, if you shipyard or go through the gate and come back the res will be there

This swapping drive thing has been around for as long as I can remember. There is only 1 planet I was ever able to get it to work at and I cannot recall it's name.

I had this same issue.
Then the latest patch landed (or I found that mysterious planet)
Drive swap away!

Had this issue awhile back. Then one day, I was suddenly able to swap the drives.
