i know going to be hated on with this post but here it goes:
I do not like the sgu series. SG1 was the best till it just got ridlicious with have like 6 seasons dealing with anubis then that whole orcale thing just retated with the oracle.
SGA was ok it was different but sorta kept true with the humor that i loved in SG1.
Now Sgu just remind me to much of the remade battlestar galactica. to much sex and drama with it total ruined the thrill of the few space battle they had. When i first saw sgu and you see that dude with the girl in the closet just totally ruined it for me.

Hadn't seen this trailer but its ok...I hope they get some more action and don't make it a soap opera like BSG. Scrambling to press the same three buttons enough times to disable the hyperdrive overload/alien virus/secret passcode is only exciting for so long. Go back to shooting stuff like Jack always did...

Everyone loved SG1 and SGA, the unfortunate part was the inconsistancies. There are several aspects to them that SGU has resolved. A very good example of this is the aliens. On SG-1, SGA the aliens were guys in rubber masks. and ALL OF THEM SPOKE ENGLISH!!! There were not many actual alien aliens. In SGU the aliens are fully CG. There was also the inconsistancy introduced in the original movie, with the planet abydos having a stargate with different symbols, this was supported in the beginning of SG1. All throughout SG1 this inconsistancy was ignored and we all believed that each stargate had different symbols, only left to find out they all have the same (due to low budgeting) This inconsistancy was also resolved in SGU with the videos by Daniel Jackson. Summarizing that all stargates have the same symbols as the earth gate.
The drama has been written and established as part of the show. I enjoy this aspect, comparing it to battlestar is very common, yet incorrect. SGU is a very VERY different show if you give it a chance, and don't listen to the crap.
SGU is the continuation of an epic fantasy adventure that has been going strong for over 15 years. You shouldn't quit following a long just because of a little drama.
Also I would like to note, the Atlantis movie will get nowhere if SGU gets canceled. My sources tell me this wont happen at this point despite dangerously low ratings. But it could happen, I urge you to give it another chance, watch through the first season and get caught up, I am told this upcoming season is great, and with many shows, the second season is the make or break season, I believe it will be the make.
PS: My sources also tell me there will be some great space battles in SGU if that is what you are looking for.

People that haven't really kept up with the SGU series won't be able to properly appreatiaye the show. There is a stronger storyline to SGU then there was in SG1 and SGA. For those of us who have watched SGU fom the begining, I have found it quite rewarding. Although it doesn't have the same sence of humor as SG1 and the space battles tha SGA had YET, its still great.
I was personally sad to see SG1 abd SGA end, and I was sure thqt I wanted to see those shows sticking around and that I wouldn't like SGU, but as I saw more and more trailers for SGU it really started to grow on me.
Give it a try this second season. Now that we all know the characters I sence that we will be getting into some more action this season:)

The drama i am talking about is the really really dark depression stuff were they all hate each other. works for animes not real action lol. I just dont like SGU just dosent feel like the sg seris i love oh well.
