Nice, a lot easier to use than imageshack or photobucket. What do you plan on doing if it starts getting cluttered though? Unless you have unlimited space.

Nobody has UNLIMITED space, even high end hosts that offer it do not ever expect anyone to exceed a certain limit.. But I have several neat features that I implemented for just such an issue... Bandwidth tracking, which will tell me if an image is hoarding all my resources, and Popularity tracking, which will tell me if an image is not being loaded anymore, IP tracking will let me know who the bad apples are, that upload too many huge images, they will get a short IP ban with a warning, or if they persist, a permaban from the servers (which kind of sucks in the end, since they wont be able to use any of my other JBud.ORG services.. But oh well)

Basically, I open my administrative interface, and any images that are old and not being used, any images that are huge and using tons of bandwidth, or any images that are huge and need compression will be red flagged and shown on top.. I have several options for these images, I can compress them, to reduce diskspace and bandwidth, delete them, or move them to another of my servers.

Ah good, was wondering because I've known people in the past who offered image/file hosting and some had issues with just what you were talking about, then had to end up deleting everything because the company they were buying hosting from complained about bandwidth usage and threatened to terminate the account.

Just FYI, due to the move between servers for JBud.ORG, a few images - That got uploaded between the start of the move and the end - have been misslinked, they are being restored from the backup now and will be available shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience

EDIT: Images have been synced and I disabled uploads for the OLD server. On the new server it is still enabled. DNS records have been altered but it takes a variable amount of time to finish. As soon as you see an upload button, the transition has taken place and you may continue to use this great service

Updated the interface for our screenie host:

* Users must now accept the terms by clicking a checkbox, there have been many abusers.

* A beta version is now available with multi-image support! Check it out here: http://images.jbud.org

*Added album support, users can now enter an album name (optional) and a link will show with the other links for the album.

Here is an example album:

More details are available here: http://www.jbud.org/2010/09/22/jbud-org-image-host-updates/

Enjoy!

Hey folks, the screenie host has underwent a major overhaul.

Some of the main developments:

-BMP files are now automatically transformed into PNG format.

-Graphical interface is much friendlier on the eye, and now matches the theme of our home site ( http://www.jbud.org ).

-Site now uses jquery pop-ups instead of slidedown menus, this also allows our album interface to load images without leaving the page.

Check out the demo for the new image host here: http://img.jbud.org/demo/

And upload your screenies: http://img.jbud.org/

Note: You may use the old theme at this address: http://img.jbud.org/?t=2
(The old theme is no longer supported on the album viewer)

Enjoy

-JBud
