What I want to discuss here, is about ICC defense system. The shield was in game for a very long time and truly terrific. However, under bad latency which has frequently occured lately, nobody can rotate shield in time. And we also regconize without shield rotation, ICC is just a bit more robust than KLuth. Suddenly, the 1st class defense faction becomes 2nd class defense faction.

ICC defense system was discussed several times in the past and has been shot down due to no idea was good enough. But we can't ignore the latency anymore. Not only the latency, the damage responsiveness is also frustrating. I bet you guys sometimes see a ship going from 100 hull to 30 hull then back to 80 hull. Do you think we must find an alternative defense system for ICC in order to fit the situation?

Perhaps we should leave shield alone, and find something supersede shield aux. Something can be repaired by drones, regen slower but firmer and not drains energy.

icc is the way it is now to them being bent over a barrel from bais dev staff.

Read up on why this happens, this has nothing to do with ICC shields. There's plenty of information in recent topics about why you're seeing what you're seeing.

Again - has nothing to do with shields. Regardless of what system you use - when you lag, you're not seeing accurate information coming in. You may see shots being fired on your left hand side, when they're hitting your left - it affects everyone.

Nothing will be changed game-design-wise to 'accomodate' lag. It's an issue, we're aware of it, and it's being worked on.
