I bet they reduced it to limit server resources. Most everyone's cargo is filled with infantry at all times anyway (to prevent boarding) .

Dropped Resources from a ship explosion would slowly fade to 0 and then vanish.
They could not be destroyed and indeed in some situations the lead to a whole field of them.
We wanted them to take damage and slowly decay the more damage they took..

So we used the Resource amount as there HP. But that leads to something else...
When a ship explodes its AOE Damage is larger then the HP of the resources. So they spawn and immediately get destroyed.

We might fix this some later date..

Please don't make enhancement and resource disappear after explosion. It's pitiful if an advanced destroyed after long effort.

Wasn't this the same issue with dropped enhancements? It should be a similar fix, right?

Agree'd completely, lol. But look at what the actual topic is and then back at fixing resource destruction bugs. Think about which one is more important .

actually he isn't that far off on the icc support station its not hard to destroy one now the ugto support station is harder to destroy because it usually repairs it self. plus ugto stations make bigger explosions

idea to fix:
ressources / enhancements spawn after the explosion, or they get a 1-2 sec invulnerability when they spawn (so the explosion dont kill em)

AFAIK, enhancements already spawn a few seconds late, thats how they were fixed. It's just that the devs are busy doing other things (like making the ICC heavy cruiser a BEAST like I hope they are ) .

if a assault class dread or a station blows up a few seconds late does not help AT ALL XD
