The new requirements should be something similar to this:

OS: Windows XP SP3/Windows Vista/Windows 7
CPU: 1 GHz Intel/AMD or greater
Video: Second-Generation 3D Card (GeForce, Matrox G400, Graphics Blaster) with 64mb or more of memory
Audio: Direct Sound compatible sound card required.
Hard Drive: 150 MB
RAM: 1 GB for Windows XP, 1.5 GB for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Internet Connection (Broadband)
Direct Input-compatible Mouse.
DirectX 9.0c or higher

Mine: Win 7, 2G core 2 duo, nvidia 9300ms, 2gb ram. And trust me it's not enough. It's fine when there is no battle but when there is, OMG...
My suggestion:
CPU: core i or equivalent AMD.
Video: ATi or nvidia with 128mb ddr3.
Ram: 2GB DDR3+.

I have talked with guys who their computer meets that requirement. They run smoothly and encouter no desync, lag.

Besides, there are ways to improve game performace:
- Remove the fighters from player ships. Thank you. We don't need those fighters. Give us nice missles like shock or PSM. It's pretty imtolerant to stay 3000gu+ from the target and earn prestige by spamming missles. Besides, missle disappears but I have to yell sometimes to remind someone call their fighter back cause they leave the rain of fighter in game. It sucks.
- Overhaul planet defense base. No missles on bomb and def please. Everytime a red thing jumps to Fargo. missles come out from 3planets * 5def/planet = 15 def bases. Sorry for my language but you know why I have such emotion. How about replace missle with torp on bomb and gun on def?

It would help us a lot.

protip: keep profanity out of forum posts if you want to keep making them.

There should be minimum posting requirements because you most certainly would not meet them.

Just so you know, theres 2 "kind" of lag if you want.

One is coming from your computer, when either your graphic card or CPU is working too hard and can't handle the game (which only happens on Brand new big games such as COD7 or BF:BC2)

The other one is your internet speed. (Harder to explain but I'll try) Because your internet might be too slow, the game doesn't have all of the packs or information that the server is giving you to show everything, meaning it might skip some parts, because newer one are coming
Ex: A missile position. At a moment hes at (X,Y) and he moves foward but you cant pass enough information so you only see it an other (X,Y) position.

If you get some lagg, all the time, it's probly because your internet is bad and you need a new one, but if you get lag only in big battles (4 stations V some other stations or MD and Missile spam), it would mostly be because of your computer but can be because of the Internet.

The last kind of "lag" is what we call: Delay. Its when doing an operation, it takes some several time before that operations start. Ex: Writting something in the chat and appearing some time after, 2-3 Seconds. This is because of your internet, which is not good enough follow at a good timing, but still makes it in a way. Normaly you have around 0.5 seconds delay or less if you have a good internet and whenever you live.

I hope it cleared some stuff!

Heh... Those would apply perfectly to Jamesbob, who cannot post.
