1: where do you lose your cursor (login selection, ship selection, on death, etc.)

With the software cursor, on Login and Ship selection or when pressing Esc. With the hardware cursor I sometimes have a problem with the mouse getting stuck in the upper left hand corner of my screen.

With software cursor you lose it in login.
Without you lose it when you die.

Solution: Don't die.

Yes I have the software cursor enabled. On the Login Screen the only place I can see my mouse is in the upper left side of the screen, in the chat box. Outside of that it just disappears. After checking in game it is disappearing on the ship selection screen but only in the middle and one the lower right side when I want to launch my ship.

So far, Thank you for all the feedback.
But still keep them coming for as long as the bug exists.

New users, don't be afraid and post your finding. any information is helpful.

All right update time!

F keeps trying to find anything that might work. so far, for Hardware mouse this time it seems like a good fix. As i have yet to find the bug again.

Again this is for Hardware Mouse. So if you have software mouse enabled, please try and disable it to see if it works..

There is one situation i found: When you dock your ship at a shipyard or using a homegate to return to ship selection. if you hold your mouse button to rotate your camera. the cursor will not appear inside the ship selection screen, but! If you hold both left and right mouse button inside the ship selection screen and dragg a bit, it will re-appear. (both mouse buttons allow Panning of the map.)

Mouse disappearing problem is still happening for me. Software mouse is disable. it happens when my ship blows up, however, since the "fix", it's not happening quite as often as it used too.

I was disconnected so I clicked reconnect and then lost my mouse, and the whole screen went black with the exception of the chat log and the outline of the group members list and such. Pressing different combinations of esc and enter keys, and clicking had no effect once so ever. I was forced to alt+tab out and restart my computer via the keyboard since my mouse was stuck in the top left of my desktop.

You tried to reconnect to a server when it was dead, or your connection was dead. The client doesn't like to do this, and is why it was stuck in the state it was.
