Several of my teammates and I on ICC were having trouble docking our stations. Basically, you'd do the Cntrl Y Cntrl U twice thing, but then your ship would be stuck, unable to turn or deorbit.

Found out a way to get unstuck: plot a jump anywhere. You'll start turning and get unstuck.

Afaik, it's caused by orbiting the planet while facing it (I did this to speed up docking, but it backfired ) . I only had it happen to be in a station, though player in a heavy cruiser also slammed into the planet trying to get it to let him dock (was kinda funny too ) .

After his second suicide docking run, he managed to get in just before impact.

I have no problems gettin into the shipyard, however there is no way to cancel the docking progress, and that i see as a problem.

- Ships must now align with the planet to dock with a shipyard.

I dont even know wth that means. The planet is a sphere on a 2d plane. Where and when am I NOT alighned to it? Align to the ship yard on the planet? Align to the east and west of the planet? align to F's big toe on the planet? Wth am I supposed to align to that is on this round shpere. sounds like facing it isn't the answer.

Remember when planets moved? Wow was that ever cool. Remember how we had orbit issues with that? Remember we had to stop it because of the bugginess? I smell a repeat issue with this.

Also, maybe because I dont understand what it means, I cant figure out why it was a needed change. How is this an enhancement to gameplay?

I think it's pretty straight forward to understand, I'd imagine you're just trying to be difficult...

It was done to stop shipyard spamming, and to stop people spamming stations to defend a planet - if you want to bring one out, you're going to have to sacrifice it to the battlefield for a period of time.

We're already changing the mechanic so it'll use a timer per ship class, instead of aligning to the planet.

It does't align anymore... However, it was turning your ship until it was facing directly at the center of the planet.. since you spawn facing away, it would take a certain amount of time to turn to despawn.

That system has been replaced with a timer based system now... it takes a static amount of time based on ship class before your ship is despawned.

Stations: 20 seconds
Dreads: 15 seconds
Cruisers: 10 Seconds
Destroyers, Engineering, Supply, and Transport: 5 Seconds
Frigates: 2 Seconds
Scouts: 1 Second

NOTE: Numbers are subject to change as always if we need to balance it better.

Ah, I see then.
Well, I do like the timer system. Much better, and I haven't had an issue with it.
Well done there.

(I seriously didn't understand b4, I wasn't trying to be a pain)

Pertinent question. After you hit the Dock button. Can your ship still be manuevered within that countdown period?

Engineer, Supply and Transport are NOT combat ship, and they're fragile as frigate. Please 2 seconds for heavy and 1 second for normal. Spawn engineer, supply, transport during planet is attacked by dread => ROFLOLMAO

It's already takes more than 1 second to press ctrl y + ctrl u twice, lol.
Engineer, supply and transport as they're not combat ship, please set the timer to 1 second.

Btw, when I jump so close to the planet (closer than 100gu to the centre), the ship can't not orbit by pressing O even though it's standing by. I have to fly the ship farther in order to orbit. Is it a bug or something like that?
