i agree with ent, too many people just scrap planets when they get to about 20% control, scrapping should be replaced with deconstucting, but deactivating the strutures could still be done from afar as it only takes a simple signal. or you could raze the scrapping pres depending on the amount of control your faction has on the planet, so if you have 20% control the pres lost is 5x the normal rate.... this would deter people from scrapping planets when its surrounded by our mighty mushroom mash up.....

First let me say. TWO POSTS IN A WEEK???

Scrapping before a planet is captured is a viable tactic... get over it. You can order the personnel manning the facility to place C4 charges and blow the place to smithereens... no need to be in orbit to do this
In the DarkSpace universe we use quantum entanglement for communications, so it's instant over any distance

Third:
So far i agree with the parts
Deconstruction time.
Negative construction points "could/should" need to be lowered for engineers or raised for non engineers..
Currently scrapping costs the same as building the structure. if you are a engineer and need to rebuild the planet, you will only gain construction points if you replace structures with higher triered structures who are worth more points. If you scrap a defective planet of its high trier structures and rebuild the planet as a mining planet you lose points.
Giving the engineer the option to "recycle" the building, with less construction points lost, but making it take time for the deconstruction (may even give small resources back to pool). That would be a nice step for engineers, to finally earn some prestige from re-construction.
E.
P.s. Would love to see a exodus of a planet, 1 transport for every 10 population and infantry. last transport off planet, structures blow..
But that ain't happening.

How about an option to blow the building up? Could take 30 secs to happen from the time it is selected, so timing would be critical. Could it be canceled? Hmmm.
Just a thought.

Keep scrapping as it is for the prestige hit as a last ditch thing before a planet caps, but "recycling" with no pres loss would be nice for those of us who take the time to fix a planet after someone with no clue how to build screws it up, or when AI build garbage on it after it gets partially bombed.

That's... a pretty good idea, actually.

I agree that it should take less time to destroy a structure than to build one. However, we can all agree that at least someone should be logically close enough with the right tools to actually blow that structure up. That should make sense to even the most stubborn person. |

I would say it's 700gu to the structure - bomb range. Logically.
We may ask to build a structure from 700gu away. As we can destroy one structure with drone from 700gu, so you can build one form 700gu.
