The big problem, (for me), is the mechanic of the game, in the sense of what actually works is capture "planet systems" completly.

My idea is : (remember i use the google translator, be patient and try to understand me)

Making capture a system of planets is not useful in the long time.

Rank of random planets. (may last hours, days or weeks). A planet occupied, then, make win or lose prestige to the players by the structures builded on it.

Make the planet ranking is positive or negative for all members that occupies faction.

Thus, as time passes we will have to destroy structures and leave the planet for not lose prestige while the rank is negative.

In this way, DS, no more, bored or static, will be "dynamic y changing". Because nobody can sit in a planet and wait.

Also, the players which not play, will lose prestige and will be degrated.

I've seen cases where, not to lose prestige when things are difficult, some players logoff, then, appear when you win. Well, no more, if not play loses prestige.

I am suggesting a system where planets have a rank that may last hours, days, weeks, some arbitrary length of time. A planet that is has a rank gives more/less prestige to players that build structures on it (or just for being in orbit[?]). This "rank" is positive or negative for all members of a faction (ie: 5 for icc, -5 for ugto).

Thus as time passes one faction will have to leave the planet for not losing prestige while the rank is negative.

With this suggestions, combat will be less static, more dynamic; nobody can sit around planets and wait.

Players that do not play often will lose prestige and rank.

I've seen cases where people do not want to lose prestige so they log off, and then appear when their faction is winning to easily gain prestige. This should prevent that as well

We have a lot of plans for planets, but very little time to work on them. I don't want to get hopes up, but there should be some very interesting stuff coming at some point in the future =).

Just to re-enforce. When the initial development conversation was held about the planetary changes. This topic was come up multiple times.
So yes if we had the time we would work it out and add more stuff that we currently have to the planets and make owning a planet a lot more interesting.
It is coming! we just don't know when.
