Alright, I think this will be pretty straight forward, so no tl;dr.
Engines. Engines are fine the way they are but there has been this nagging thing thats been around for a while now.
I'm talking about of course, the outdated engines that UGTO and ICC. Im talking about of course, the Atomic Fusion Engine.
That no one uses. Ever.
Its only good point is that it has much more HP than other Engine gadgets, but no one cares about that. Its not that big of a gameplay mechanic and nor do I see it as being one anytime well, ever.
I propose a change.
Change this engine into a Stealth Drive.
For human factions, change this drive into one that actually reduces signature on the ship, at the cost of total power and regeneration by a significant margin. It would be subject to balancing of course. And as an added bonus, has no engine trail.
At least then there would be an alternative engine that might actually get used and it would serve a purpose for the more ninja-like among us.

/agree this sounds like a pretty good idea, after balancing issues of course
P.S. b4 we implement new drives can we please fix the current engine bug where it doesn't switch out when u try to replace it, and still takes the resources

Could be more easier if they can add bonuses to gagdet which effects eccm/ecm about 10%?

No drive trails and lowered signatures. Sounds fair.
For a long time now, I've used drive trails to kill those pesky corvettes or frigs that bother me. Guess it's gonna be more difficult now.
But... challenge accepted.

but since the color can be changed, would it be possible to turn the color to transparent or something like that?

Yeah, if engine trails could be set to colorless that would solve the problem, though I'm not sure how well using an engine with reduced power output would work while using ECM since it's fairly power hungry.

You guys are all aware that you can remove engine trails, missle trails , fighter trails in the setup menu right?
just for all you out there thinking this cant be done

That applies if you don't want to see the trails of things, including yourself. It does not change whether the other guy in a Siphon can see your trail or not (unless he disables trails too, which does not change performance or graphics enough).
+0 to invisible trails. I don't want to beacon people just for the sake of making sure I can target them.
