acording to the Dev-log, Assault Ruptors and HCLs cant be used for PD anymore, but i could turn it on in my Nest... a minor bug, but i just wanted to mention it

Forgot to add it to the dev log. You can indeed use HCL and AD for PD now.

Meh. Prefer leaving HCLs and ADs out of the PD group.
Those beams are for killing ships. And they take longer to recharge.

If you have the luxury of sitting in one place (because if you are moving i doubt you have energy to be charging AD's or HCL's) and picking off missiles with tier 2 beams then you are waisting time that could be better spent killing ships.

besides if you are being hit by so many missiles that you need tier 2's for defence then chances are the server is mid stroke and the event wont last long.

on a seperate note did kamikaze damage change recently or am I imagining that exploding stations suddenly hurt alot more.

I take it you've never played on ICC or UGTO lately, Scorched? Those Heavy beams are certainly a welcome addition to PD efforts everywhere.

Actually I would expect UGTO to be cheering for this, as ICC are the main purveyors of missile volleys.

Perhaps there should be 2 types of PD switches? One which attaches the standard beams to PD, and a 2nd one which attaches the heavy beams to it?

yes yes, pd switches. for t1 and t2 and most importantly switch for elf beam pd, wich is total nonses to use as pd. they charge way to long to use for pd.

i always have normal + heavy beams on separate hotkeys
mostly for damaging enemies while keeping my pd active

Or you could just manually delegate the different beams to PD manually... isn't that hard...

your right i haven't apparently the state of missile attacks on UGTO and ICC are worse than I imagined
