Well, see, I wasn't intending that the entire concept be used as an indicator of potential UGTO style, just parts of them, as I explained beneath the images.

Final styling. Not gonna do anything more after this. LOL.

Added wings,
Added hole in wings (LOL),
Changed dorsal baghandle archs,
Added additional hardpoint structure/warp-drive-thingie/assault-pod thingie/whatever in the dorsal arch,
Changed the ventral arch design and strut
Sharpened the forward hull/nose
Added additional scoop thingie/intake/thingamajig at forward hull
Extended rear wings and fins to form 5 strake-looking thingamabobs

Overall made it look more streamlined and aggressive

Front

Others (with and without mesh)

Its classy, in a "don't with me" kinda way.
It also reflects an elegance that most all ships don't have, and when you do see them, the either get destroyed or are pasegner carriers. Which i nice to see.

Bring the top arch closer in to the hull of ship, it increases the sense of scale that way and doesnt look quite as rediculous.

Bring top arc closer to hull, make rear slightly larger/bulkier, and make the nose/mid slightly thinner.

How about making it look more likely to a orange grasshopper, Kenny?

OK
Some small adjustments made
- Addressed the oversized top arch by lowering it and pulling in the sides
- Made the forward hull slimmer, sharper, and drooped the nose a few degrees down
- Widened the wing span. The wing droop remains the same.

Really nice one comment though the first ship has a nose pointed down would look nicer if it was stright, also the secone one looks great would reduce the pylons on both ships to something that is closer to the hull.

also when texturing the windows and stuff make sure they have alot of them to detail their size.

The final shape and details are there. But I feel that it still looks a bit off somehow.
Like it's too thin, or too frail looking. So I pulled up the DS ship recognition charts and looked at the existing dread and saw why.

The ship is too long. So I scaled it back along its length by about 15% and then did an overal rescale the original size of about 1550m.
And it finally looked beefier. Just about right.

- Scaled back along longitudinal axis by 15%, then enlarged it back to size
- Widened the model further by about 10%
- Undid the nose droop, giving the fore hull a thicker appearance

the only problem i see is that the nose pointing down slightly and it getting narrower makes it look a little bit to much like a Kluth ship, uggie ships are often fatter.

Yeah I know. Sorta like a Mandi/Siphon forward half. Thing is that I want it to look more streamlined than the current dread.

Oh well, I'll make some final tweaks to the fore-hull shape.

I'm already assigning Material IDs to it in preparation for UV-Mapping, before texturing.
