the only problem with energy ive had is with th dictors(crusier) when their indirector is on, the suck up energy too fast, granted they are a support craft, they should still last longer(energy comsumption).

ummm
It's supposed to be that way, pal.
When the interdictor is on, it's the only thing the cruiser should be able to do apart from moving.
IMO the interdictor device still doesn't suck enough energy, but that was already discussed in different threads

If I'm not wrong gadgets in the game have classes, and ships are limited by hull class to how many gadgets they can carry. Since everything scales, the lower classed gadgets just produce less of what their bigger brothers do, be it energy or firepower. It would need new gadgets just for small ships; specifically speaking aux gens, just to achieve what Phoebuzz wants, which is higher regen for small ships. |

Aux. Gens? Seriously, wtf?
How many times do I need to spell "Engine Power Generation".
Gadgets have levels, and the performance of gadgets can be adjusted by level.
So my suggestion is easily implementable without changing any ship layout.
Btw, since you obviously didn't read my previous messages. Currently engines and aux. gens on all ship sizes generate the same power.
~0.5 e/s per engines, ~0.3 e/s per aux. gen.

Same thing. I was using Aux gens as an example. They all have classes according to size. Engines, Aux Gens, Weaps. The smaller the gadget, the less power they produce. All of this is relative to your hull size and the weaps. In the end, they appear to generate power at the same rate.
Doesn't make sense that a dessie engine or aux gen produce more power than a dread's engine/gen. That would be like fitting a cruiser engine or gen into a dessie wouldn't it?
The problem is that, you can't fit a bigger engine into that smaller hull class. So you don't get more power generation. Game mechanics. And that is that.
Yes, they could probably scale the power generation differently through the gadget class/size. But why would smaller engines generate more power for their size/class?
Will the devs change that? Prob not.
Also... don't they already have a few different types of drive? AFE? PFE? How about fitting those on?

now I'm curious to see if he reacts the same way on this statement as he did when I stated it with corvette / dread ........

your first post was about giving all ships the same energy regeneration from engines.
now you realize all ships do get same energy regeneration from engines.
so.... why continue?
