Ive asked in the lobby a few times, but now ill ask where everyone can read.

Anyone ever played Silent Hunter IV ?

If so, what did you think about it?

Know of any other off the radar sims like this? (expecialy ship sim)

Its a bit complex, ive been about two weeks just training in it, havent even started the game yet.

If you want to try it, know that you will have to downgrade to direct x 9 and update the game to patch 1.4 if you want to play it on windows 7. The devs of sh4 say that its impossible to play the game on windows seven, but we all know how wrong devs can be sometimes hey.

Anyway, if you have not tried this game, and like sims, or subs, or wwII, then you should definatly try this game.

Reminds me of Silent Service back on the old C64, only better.

Haven'y played Silent Hunter, but I played Destroyer Command, where you could face people playing one of the Silent Hunter games (forgot which one) and try to kill them.
Edit: I got it a few years ago, not sure if its still sold.

Another good naval game, though a perhaps little arcadish, would be Battlestations: Pacific
