Is it possible to add an overlay to the planet-texture ?
If so, heres my suggestion:
whenever a structure is build on the planet, an overlay at that position is added
this way developed planets would look so
i think about Haegemonia - Legions of Iron, where planets get more cities when the population increases
(the night-side of the planet)

a lot of players need to upgrade their pc first, and their internet.
idea is nice though
