Having them on cruisers is overpowered for one main reason: It prevents the only viable retreat option for ICC and UGTO. (K'Luth can at least cloak)

Now, for planets, and possibly even on stations, this would be fine.

Here's my suggestion:
Replace the Jump-Disruptors on Cruisers with Jump-Enablers, allowing friendly ships to penetrate or escape from a planetary or station-based inhibitor field.

The cruisers have to travel slow lest they run out of energy, carry no weapons, and have little defense. Any destroyer or smaller can easily sit on the tail and rip it apart unless it's well defended. And if it's well defended, well i'm sorry we can't balance teamwork

I guess I'll continue pairing up with a dread in my dictor and killing helpless ships one after another until enough people get sick to death of how lame and overpowered it is.

What, you think that's an original idea or something? People do it all the time. Welcome to the club.

is why i loled. I myself even went through this phase, and even at the same rank.

Your folowing a path many have gone down before you. The evolution of your playstyle is right on schedule and in sync with the thousands that came before you.

Well clearly there's a problem with it.
The one escape option that the ICC and UGTO have is stripped away from them when an interdictor and combat ship jump in and net them.

Any game mechanic that disables someones only viable means of escape this severely is not a good thing to have, especially when a death means lost prestige.

Seriously, we made all the ICC get mad and quit by using a dictor and a couple dreads, they couldn't escape by the only means available to them.
Us, we could cloak and self repair just to try again a minute later.

oh what? stop complaining about it. they dont have escape, we dont have much armor, dont you see the trade off? have you seen one kluth ever take out its counterpart? since new patch no. rethink your statments.

No, I don't see the trade off, their regenerative capability also makes up for the lesser armor, and I have seen one take out its counterpart.
It may have taken a few tries, but they eventually found the right opportunity and took them out. And having me in a dictor prevented them from escaping, and so they lost prestige.

It's not as simple as just killing the cruiser, they can cloak or jump out to make another attempt later right when it looks like they're about to make a run for it..

Only things that need to be changed with Interdictors is have it so they can't jump while their own field is on, and use more energy so they can't sustain full speed with field active for more than a minute or so.

seriously
can we have a "QQ"-threat that is off "Latest Topics"-list where people can whine about luth-cloak ?
every third threat is about "qq, luth decloaks behind me and fried my ship (while i was alone in space (and semi-afk))"

Well, I'm the one that's doing the cloaking, and I still think it more than makes up for thin armor. You can even take damage to your hull and it regenerates.

On the ICC side I tried pinging for K'Luth and spamming them with beacons, and while it did help, it felt very minimal.

If anyone is fed up with K'Luth, I recommend going UGTO, because on playing on the K'Luth side, I find them incredibly hard to even get their armor down without nearly getting killed in the process. There's just no way around it unless they're sitting there AFK.
