Red Shirt, K'luth ships are all about superior weapons in exchange for armour that's literally made of fingernail. Most ship of a similar size in beam range with a K'luth ship get the snot beaten out of them. The secret is, get out of their beam range (or if your daring and in an assault ship get closer so your beams hurt more)

kluth beams actually don't have falloff like the other factions do. Its better to stay at max beam range as a luth so that your beams do way more damage than the enemies. When you get closer, it negates the luth advantage significantly

though it does make it easier for you guys to shipyard prey, thats the only thing i really dislike about this, but i guess i can just long jump and quicklog now if it becomes an issue.

I liked escapooper he was nice and I've flown dico's they are not that bad just need to be careful with them and they just lack guns (which of course is the whole idea).
