Ladies and Gentlemen, we love events, you love events, everyone loves events (except perhaps the NPC's - they don't get much out of it except a lot of scrapes and bruises), which is why we've decided to re-open the event team to the public - with a few exceptions.
We know we have the current open events system, but ideally we'd like a group of imaginative people to create some in-depth events that can run for not only a few hours, but several days, with decent rewards and great execution.
There are several requirements for applying to the event team, if you don't fulfill them. we're sorry, but we're just not looking for you...
- An imagination - This is highly important. We wan't well designed events that people will enjoy!
- 18+ age - We understand young people play the game, but for several reasons we require you be of age 18 or over.
- An ability to work as a team or solo - You might be creating events in co-ordination with others (both on the team, and on staff) or on your lonesome, so it's important for you to be able to do both.
There are a few other notes I should mention.
Firstly, that we will not be creating custom maps, ships, servers, or what-have-you's for the events. There may be rare times when the development team spots an event that's well worth some extra flavour, but we simply don't have the time to give for this sort of thing.
Secondly, we require that you are ultra-secretive about the events. We don't want people spreading information on the events before or whilst they happen. If you are found doing this, not only will you be removed from the event team, but so will the people you assist. You will also likely be barred from future volunteer positions for an undisclosed period of time.
Thirdly, you will have access to event accounts when the time is required, however, these accounts do not come with any special powers. Moderators can be assigned to events should the event require extra attention, but otherwise, you are still just players.
Fourthly, who gets the rewards will be decided via voting by all event staff, but the ultimate awarding and amount is decided at the administration team's discretion.
Lastly, well run events will incure bonus rewards to all event staff who contribute towards the event. Yes, that means you get lovely credits too for nice events!
We're taking this very seriously, as we think events help everyone have a lot of fun, so please only make serious applications. There are only limited places, so please don't take it personally if we don't select you. There will be numbered selections from each faction, so everyone will get a fair go.
If you want to apply, simply reply to this post with "I want to apply.", and we'll get back to you when we've made our choices.

what if i have just a simple idea for an event
..something like bla bla big battle and so on
should i apply or just send the idea to someone "in charge" ?

All players can submit events via the public event system. You can find out how it works in the "DarkSpace Events" forum.

I would like to apply. I've never done anything like this before but i have plenty of time and a good imagination. If you dont mind helping someone new to this i would love to give it a shot. btw i am over 18 and have ts3 and would be willing to use some other type of voice chat. I will be getting more stable internet wednesday.

Allways willing to put my imagination to good use, i would however like to clarify one thing... by not making new servers does this also discount the possibility of hijacking the Scen verse like the competition Jbud hosted so so long ago?

all problems have been solved and the coders can now begin ushering in a new golden age of gaming for all the world.
Huzzah!
No, that cant happen, atleast not in the space of a few hours, so how about we organise some events to keep people interested and fun while we fix up the game and make it more balanced and appealing?
Better yet have it run by the players themselves, therefore less drain on the coders to actually improve the game and they wont be at each others throats 24/7
Guess this'll get deleted, could be put alot more simply and less sarcasticly but its still relevant.
