Faustus fixed the broker (asset loader and cache). There was some client hitching being caused on jump in when an object was being loaded, so he fixed this. Unfortunately, it seemed to have the side affect of causing the client hitch a lot when it was first initalized. To attempt to fix this, he set the priority of the broker to low, which had the unintended side of not loading anything because the game thread was always doing more important stuff and shouting over it.

In the end, F had a little look at the broker and optimized it some more. Now we don't cache null objects (stuff that's gone from the game world), and things are only loaded and cached when they're actually needed, rather than always.

As a result, there are probably some performance gains had on slower machines from the stuff not kept in memory or being cached from disk.
