Don't bother taking the Faction characteristics from the manual.
The energy efficiency is somewhat of a balance from my point of view.
If i recall the EAD does more damage in a alpha then a AD does, therefore it has more power/regeneration to deal more alpha's. Like 70% of the ships for ICC are geared towards range, to get range ICC need Speed.
If we don't have the energy to engage at max speed, ICC is Dead.
ICC aren't the defensive faction anymore, It's not the faction that sits there, taking damage. It lost that title a while ago.
ICC are the agile faction, Moving and dodging at top speed while returning damage over time.
UGTO are the defensive faction if any faction is. They can't move well, but they can take a punch and repair more effectively. They have close quarters firepower and match ICC for missile power (We don't include the MD because the SS's are better, making the MD useless).
Kluth pretty much remain the same, it's hard to change that factions characteristics by accident.

EAD out of energy after 6-7 alphas.
AD out of energy after 20+.
Some of you don't half pull numbers out of your behind (and complain a lot about nothing in the process).
ICC shields are absolutely fine, and Fattierob will be taking a look at defence numbers soon anyway.
