I just started writing this book today.

The year is 2580 4 years after the 5th Stellar War. In 2577 UGTO created a new class called the Solar Class.
Only 3 ships were made before it was canceled due to lack of funds;Nova 1,2,and 3. Nova 2 and 3 were destroyed and Nova 1 Was badly damaged, but repairable.

My name is Admiral Daniel Gilbert, This is the story of my life in DarkSpace.

I just need permision. I want to see if this book can be published.

I don't know who the owner of the game is or anyone who is part of the team, but if this is able to be published, and you give me permision, 70% will go to you and 30% for me?

Writing a book to be published is a lot of work. Would be a good idea to get it written first. I am not trying to discourage you or anything but just want to make sure you thought it through.

As a reader of SciFi, in my opinion it would be awesome if Darkspace had a published book or series about its universe.

and it may not be as easy as you think : (

Anyone is welcome to write creative fan-fiction for the DS universe.

However, if you intend to make money from sales, Palestar will need to grant you licensing rights.

If you intend to publish as a free e-book, then go ahead.

Agreed!

If you're really serious, you'd need to submit a draft anyway. Something for the owners of DS to get a feel for your ability.

The only fan fiction I've seen that has a chance to be published is Twilight by Coeus.

And I'm not just saying because I have a part in it.

I'm sorry; I don't think you should be aiming so high as to write a book just yet. There are various stylistic mistakes you make that aren't so much a matter of taste as they are novice mistakes. Is English your first language? If not, I strongly urge you write in your native language instead, and (have someone) translate to English afterwards.

Quote:
Engineer’s wanted to update Nova 1’s System’s because they were out of date.

It's unclear whether engineer is meant to be singular or plural: the scope of the work seems to be for multiple engineers, but as you write it it says, "Engineer has wanted to update", implying there is a single engineer and he wants to do it.

Systems, being plural, should be written without apostrophe.

Quote:
When I had set a course for Paul, I sat in my chair and rested and let the autopilot do the rest. I sat and thought about how great my life was.

What could be improved here is the line "I sat and thought about how great my life was". In writing, lots of people will tell you to "show, don't tell" - this is one of these cases. The narrator plainly tells us he is thinking about how great his life was. Instead, he ought to be talking about how great his life was so we can understand why he thought so. The lines after that don't seem so much to highlight the excellence of his life as a brief synopsis of his military career, which seems too detailed on one single moment rather than the entire career.

One run where all your crewmembers died and you managed to bomb a ship through some miracle is not the thing you'd say makes your life great, especially not if he has "thirty years to go until retirement".

I don't like crushing dreams (actually, I do; it's fun), but before looking to writing a book, I strongly urge you to look up advice on writing and get some writing exercises under your belt afore you begin writing a novel.

I find that very offensive. Full born american. I only have a learning disability. I'm great with every other subject but English. Failed the class during the first quarter. >:-(
