Ok, look guys, this is rediculous. I understand that some of you may have some random connection problems and stuff like that so I understand. Try not to use follow, shadow, or orbit commands (until you KNOW you will go into orbit) and you should do fine.

If you are loosing so much pres that you wipe a day's worth, you need to fly a lower class ship. I normally make more pres immediately before I die than my death penalty, and I seem to fly stats alot now so that's saying something.

QQ seemed to work in having mines nerfed to uselessness
And look at the Krill, that got QQ'd to death too.

Oh yeah, someone logs in, gets killed
"welp, there goes a weeks worth of prestige"

brilliant game design.

The only meaningful way to lose large amount of prestige is to die in a big ship.

Try not dying.

Helps lots.

Apparently... For some, QQing is easier than not dying.

Only works like that if you're not that great at the game.

so you WANT bad players to stay at a low rank?

I have 95% positive prestige myself, so I have no reason to "QQ", but I see a lot of players get pissed off and quit because they can't get anywhere, and lose all their progress... often times just by bad luck.

DS isn't a very friendly game. It's not very welcoming. Is this how it's supposed to be?

It's a game that requires skill and experience. It requires learning from your mistakes. This isn't WoW.

It's not an MMO with elements designed to take you to the top in a month.

It puts quite a heavy emphasis on personal responsibility. Only you can learn to play well enough to reach a high rank. If you can't earn the right to fly a Fleet Admiral ship, why the hell am I going to give you one?

If you get pissed off and quit, its really not the game for you. This is a PvP game that learns straight on the hardcore button. Deal with it.

How about azreal? Enterprise? Spartanz? Flash? Afroman?

Why then, do you not listen to our advice when its offered? Why do you not ask for advice when its not?Play the game to win. Beat your enemy, take his stuff. Have fun, and next thing you know your a ga.

I never use anything larger than a Cruiser in MV aside from the occasional Siege Dreadnought to glass planets that have revolted. Most of my combat pres was gotten with Sensor Corvette and Heavy Cruiser.

Best possible advice I can give you is if you're alone and/or outnumbered, stay out of Dreadnoughts and Stations unless you WANT to lose pres because chances are very good that you will die. Use the proper type of combat ship based on the situation, there's no such thing as a one size fits all ship.

REALLY?

Compare DS with casual game: Zuma series. Dash series. Bejeweled series. Luxor series. Farm Frenzy series. Build-a-lot series.
Play them already? They're really unfriendly to bad players although they are casual.

Compare DS with XX (millenium game): Pac man, Super mario, Doom 1, Commander ken, Dave, Tetris etc...
They don't save points! Breaking through 2000 games is quite a challenge. Game have been developing more complex, but at least you can breathe thanks to save point. You fail you can restart at save point... You'll be mad!

How about XXI PC game?
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Half-Life 2. Halo: Combat Evolved. Diablo II. Portal 2. Mass Effect 2. Batman: Arkham Asylum. Fallout 3. BioShock. Resident Evil 4. Grand Theft Auto IV. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty...
Are they easy? DS is still a piece of cake, I admit.

After you train yourself from those aforementioned game, then you won't keep saying DS is difficult. Allow me to repeat, DS is easy.
