jimjim, if you're using windows7
go to
My Computer ->
System Properties (bluish bar along the top) ->
Device Manager (top of the column on the left) ->
expand "Display Adapters" (the icon with a monitor and a green chip)

Saw brony ingame today.
If the brony would be so kind to tell us what solved his problem, others might benefit from it.

i know this is more towards brony but when i did that nothing shown up under device and for drivers, its shows the default driver for the computer (or however you might put it, the main driver is vga.dll so im assuming its the computers default driver, not for the device, which isnt detected, or appeared as "n/a" for just about everything for that side). but i eventually found the device through another part of the computer (forgot what part now but i found it). now im just trying to find a driver for it (every time i go to nvidia's website, it says it cant find it so now im stuck with using google). hmm, still feels like im missing something from this message........

it took you through that much mess to get your graphics card running again? i dont think its worth it on this computer considering how junky it is. well at least you got it fixed, cant argue with that.

or you can remove(!) Nvidia card from the motherboard... and use on-board visual chipset.
