That is what confused me at first, Geja. I thought Prestige was just its own independent value, rather than a value derived entirely from the things that add to and take away from prestige.
I wonder, does kamakazi get deducted when you explode on an ally? Explosion damage doesn't seem to give 'ships damaged' prestige, but I could be wrong, I'll need to test that again.

Since you posted this, I thought I'd find the old php script Jack and I threw together for a prestige calculator. Here it is.

Simple input your user ID and it will do several calculations for your prestige. I take suggestions on new additions. Let me know if you want any new features

Yeah, it'd be nifty to see things like k:d ratio (even though it's essentially meaningless), % positive/%negative prestige, and combat effectiveness listed in our profiles.
.....Speaking of combat effectiveness, 1081%? That's almost disturbing.

afaik, this is wrong

Remove negative from positive. You've gained 60k prestige, but lost 24k, meaning you have 36k.

the total pres awarded is a bit ...irritating
its not your current pres, its
pres gained + amount of pres lost (as positive value)
btw could we have the calculated pres in the mouseovers on our profile-page ?
eg. "Shows the total ressources lost. this results in -5000 Prestige"

It could be added. I'll look into it when I can.. Currently my server is under maintenence. I'll keep you informed
EDIT: Server is now back online. PS: If you are interested, I posted a txt file with the source code for the prestige calculator, the calculations have already been made, it just needs to be displayed. Otherwise, i can look into it later on.
