Heyo Kenny! The Carrier Dreadnought is not horrible and it has a advantage. This ship can be good for support purposes. i.e when there are two or more fleets attacking. You can join a friendly fleet and help them. Remember the Carrier Dreadnought is not worst or horrible

When I see a carrier dread though it becomes a primary target as it doesn't have enough firepower to hold its own against even cruisers.

i use a CD and i can face even dreads |

As in AI dreads or MD's?

Actually, I am of the opinion that all VA dreads are useless and need to be removed. Even the MD(either a MC or SS is better, depending on the situation).

K'luth are imbalanced against VA dreads
anything that relies on missiles or fighters is completely ineffective.
Good job guys, you have a faction that makes anyone below Fleet Admiral unable to effectively defend themselves

I disagree. I've used a missile cruiser/SS/MD very effectively against the K'luth.

i remember how happy i was when i got the mandible for the 1st time. The firepower it has compared to the scale and other ships is just awesome.

The ganglia is pretty nice too. 8 missiles, 8 cannons, 7 disruptors?
Excellent support ship, and good bait for a trap

Falloff for the luth missiles, not reverse falloff.

Tokkan is finally VA oh happy days!
First of all: GRATZ!
nobody here even gratzed you till now:) Since u want to fly ugto and prolly was doubting between aggie, torpedo cruiser and carrier dread, im gonna say try em all. its all in your personality and style to determine if you like em or not.
Carrier dread is a small step up in firepower over the battle cruiser, but u lost your manoevrability. You get more hull back for it and some fighters to join the pew pew fest.
Agincourt is dead in the water carrier. u can spam fighters....and u can die
Torpedo cruiser great fun, trying to get as close as you can then drop a rlly nice alpha and watch the others hull go down is fun. Sometimes annoying in cases where u just cant get close enough.

ugto carrier dread is ok
but the golden rule: dont jump directly into the next higher ship class... dread can deal massive damage, but you can die quickly (esp unskilled players) too, lossing massive amounts of pres
