All the supply plats are the same., Just because you don't know how to use them doesn't mean they are too powerful.

its not that we don't know how to use them, it's that you gain a much better avantage by using them then ICC does. Especially in combat.

Hit the nail on the head. icc supply plats DO NOT repair shields [ our *main*] form of defence so therefore they are less usefull as our armour is weak when compared to ugto so in a fight where armour repair by plats is key ugto has the upper hand hence sup plat spam is more effective as ugto

The simpliest way to make plat better ought to grant it an AURA.
- Support plat + Targetting Computer Jammer
- Sensor plat + Gravity Well Generator
- Weapon plat + Interdictor
Then reduce the total number of plat to 15.

For the Shield issues how about making shield changable on the fly would be great fighting kluth switch shields to a anti beam variant fighting Assault ships switch to anti kinetic shields could work like defense mode
ctrl + s ---> Skirmish(assuming they are default) ---> active ----> Reflective
this seetup would help solve issues many icc faithful are worried about cause when your fighting why should you have to run to a planet to swamp out shield gens that is not practical.
also i suggest the icc get a second core weapon that is slow firing but good against armor more so than the Ion cannon(which is great) the IC in my opion is anti cruisers and under, for dreads and up they are less effective so i suggest a new weapon that would be great against larger ships I suggest its name be the Rail Barrage Cannon could be a super version of the rail gun.

no armor and shield are 2 different thing armor is physical and shields are energy we should be able to adjust our shields since energy is easier to manipulate
plus maybe you could have a 30sec frequency switch timer i mean think forward.

Still sounds OP. A do-it-all shield.
How abt everytime u switch shield modes, it goes completely down for 30 secs, leaving you completely vulnerable to attack. I mean, there's gotta be a downside to having all that on the fly flexibility, right?

another idea is that when the shield mode is changed, you need to recharge from 0%. Just a thought if something like this is ever added.

That would do it imo but then again i would say have a 15-30 sec deley before they recharge as OOC the recharge rate is off the scale

NO.
There's a reason why you have to change shield types, just like armor type. So that you are strong in one area and weak in another. With that in mind, you have to choose your fighting style and role in the fleet.
