Weird thing, you know the elves think they are trapped on nirn and are Aedra-like spirits. They believe that killing man , (and the towers like red tower/dagoth ur and white gold tower and etc) the towers that stabilize reality and to unmake man (which are lorhkan's the Aedra who thought up the idea of nirn) as a way to symbolically remove him and further de-stablize reality. The ultimate goal is to unmake everything, like dwemer actually achieved it in a sense though techno-magic and became the skin of the numidium(the brass god/tower)generations of anti-creations and experiments.
That and white gold tower and etc are controlled by the Empire's of man (the empire), and to destory that might anger a certain empire.
White gold has technically fallen (the amulet of kings)
The red tower too (The heart of Lorhkan)
The Numidium can't impose order as it was blown to pieces.
The Adamantine Tower aswell still exists.
The snow tower was mentioned in the prophecy of the Dragonborn, state unknown.
Creation to them is just a 9 spoked wheel (one for each divine) in skyrim talos worship is banned so one is weakened.
Keep breaking stuff and it all falls apart.

Yeah, we'll probably change that. They're currently using the same art as their predecessors, the Psionic Torpedoes. We just changed their damage type and name.
