Im trying to get a claw in MV...but the rank of Captain is red. Im a captain and have the silver combat...is there a reason why i cant choose a claw? Ive tried selecting one from a shipyard and the Kluth Jumpgate.

Anything above a frigate needs a shipyard so gates don't work and try to click on a bunch of different shipyards and it should work.
that is unless you're trying to go into one of those side servers where some are rank restricted but i don't know any that restrict captains.

Ursa Minor starts blocking you after commander if I remember correctly. I remember being able to fly an escort destroyer around, but not a combat.
