Been wondering about this for a while now, but are luth ships intentionally about 1.5 times bigger than their human class counter part?

The Dev Team will look into another brand of low protein lobster feed in the next few patches to come. This will hopefully slim the fleet down.

It's to do with the way we calculate hitboxes. It's been on the list for a long time (not just for this reason however).

Does it mean Luth ships will have the same sizes & hitboxes as human's ones?
That's great!

Don't hold your breath, ICC has had their Destroyers the same size as their Cruisers for a very long time. It's been brought up multiple times and acknowledged as an issue but nothing's been done about it.

theys tarted resizing ships at one point, but they stop midway due to other prioritising elements ( i think)

Maybe kenny's ship reworks can fix that

Way to be an ass.

How about you make the required changes to the game engine, server, client, and tools we use so we can do it?

I'm just going by what's happened with the same issue for another faction so people don't get their hopes up, it had been posted by a dev several months ago (Tael if I remember right) that it was on the agenda but nothing else has been heard about it since.

If I was purposely trying to be an ass my post would most likely have needed editing, or just been deleted. If there are unsolvable issues then why not just create a "known issues" button on the left side menu and list things that are present but can't currently be solved?

Any issue with ship size has advantages and disadvantages. But since the gameplay shows ships sailing at a very slow speed, it is unlikely that a large ship would have to advantage in this respect. Not criticising the speed of the game, in fact it could be even slower. It's just the way it works. These are very subtle things that can't be solved in a weekend, it takes an age.
