In the past its bugged out randomly, so always verifty you aren't jumping through the sun or somthing by looking at where you are going to jump.

do you use the Autopilot (later on referred to as faultopilot) while your ship is moving? (turning to target can take time, and the white line when you ordered a jump may become red when the jump drive is ready)

do you use the faultopilot for following enemy ships that jump, or are about to jump?

do you try to jump to your target (say, a supply platform or the planetary ShipYard) such that the ship jumps within 250 gu of the target?

does your jump often lead you through a cluster of planets? does it bring you scarily close to planets and gas giants?

if you respond yes to any of the above, consult dr brutality
